When was HWK established?

It was established in 2015 as the first organization specialized in teaching native programming for kids, intends to bridge the gap between programming and teaching.

How the curriculum will be taught?

The Curriculum designed as a progressive roadmap that consists of seven levels where each level is customized around the learning capabilities of the targeted age group. Starting with introducing the very basic concepts, then walking through the process of writing a fully functional program, reaching the advanced level where the little programmer is taught Web Development, Python, and Mobile Development. In addition to the lessons, the curriculum consists of exercises, classroom discussions and home activities, challenges that stimulate creative and analytical thinking.

Is there an Arabic version from this Curriculum?

Why coding is important to be taught to kids?

Technology dominates our lives, to learn basic computer programming it’s an essential skill for grown-ups and children alike. Imagine that your 8th kid could turn your business card to a simple website talking about you but in their own, inconceivable? Learning programming will help your kids refine their design, logic, and problem-solving abilities. It also allows them to express ideas. Programming can help them feel accomplished, while giving them a head start in our fast-paced digital world.

Will coding enhance our kids’ academic performance?

Coding Improves Academic Performance; Math: Coding helps kids visualize abstract concepts, lets them apply math to real-world situations, and makes math fun and creative! Writing: Kids who code understand the value of concision and planning, which results in better writing skills. Many kids even use Tynker as a medium for storytelling! Creativity: Kids learn through experimentation and strengthen their brains when they code, allowing them to embrace their creativity. Think about it: learning code means learning a new language! How our teachers are going to teach HWK curriculum?

Teachers will be trained how they will teach kids the curriculum and they will be provided with handouts show them what are the goals that they must achieve after they finish the level.

What is the main goal of HWK?

Hello World Kids is a program its main goal is teaching Computer & Mobile programming for kids in the age group from 8 – 12 years old. Due to the rapid development our world witnesses every day, a huge demand emerged to keep up with it BUT not only as users. Hello World Kids believes that children are great potential that needs to be invested. They have the ability and creativity to be creators, to be programmers.

1. Is it hard for kids to learn and understand the development subjects?

Programming doesn’t have to be hard to learn any more, with Hello World Kid’s curriculum all that and more can be achieved, we will strips away the syntax and provides exciting activities so children can learn the programming concepts they need to code in any language without all the frustration.

Is the English language simple enough for kids to understand?

The curriculum is written in simple words so kids can understand. It also help them in developing and learning new English phrases.

How this curriculum will build our kids personality and ethics?

Programming builds kids’ personality; Confidence: Parents enthusiastically report that they’ve noticed their kids’ confidence building as they learn to problem-solve through coding! Coding Builds Soft Skills 5. Focus and Organization: As they write more complicated code, kids naturally develop better focus and organization. Resilience: With coding comes debugging – and there’s no better way to build perseverance and resilience than working through challenges! How much time is needed for our teachers to finish the training?

The teacher will be trained on the curriculum for 30 hours (one week).

How HWK will follow up on what was trained the teachers on?

There will be 4 visits in from HWK team to follow up the process of teaching the curriculum.
